The National Office of The Canadian Society for the Weizmann Institute of Science - Weizmann Science Canada - was founded in 1964 to raise awareness for the Institute, raise money for the Institute so that the research can continue at such a high level, and stimulate the study of math and science in our schools.
The National Office is responsible for the coordination of multiple-city visits by Weizmann scientists, national fundraising initiatives and establishing new chapters across Canada. The National Office is led by a professional staff guided by the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
The National Office also actively organizes and coordinates a broad range of events within the Greater Toronto Area. These include lectures from visiting Weizmann scientists, reception meetings in members’ homes, Weizmann Women and Science presentations, school events (Math-By-Mail, International Physics Tournament, Summer Science Institute, etc.).
Exciting Gala Dinners honouring scientific, business or community leaders from both Canada and the Weizmann Institute are regularly organized by the National Office in Toronto with similar events planned for other Canadian cities.
Please check out the exciting list of upcoming events!
