The Canadian Society for the Weizmann Institute of Science, known as Weizmann Science Canada, was founded in 1964 to express the commitment of the Canadian community to help the Weizmann Institute of Science maintain its standards of excellence and its significant contributions to world science. In addition, Weizmann Science Canada helps to stimulate the study of math and science at all levels.

Academic symposia bring to Canadian communities the expertise of Weizmann Institute professors and international authorities of the day, and the many social events bring together the community of supporters throughout Canada.

The Feinberg Graduate School continues to provide Canadian students with a unique Israel experience which inevitably enriches those who attend.

Through Weizmann Science Canada, Canadians have played a decisive role in the Institute’s progress, supporting several major initiatives at the Weizmann Institute. The two landmark buildings on the campus are The Canada Centre of Nuclear Physics with its Koffler Accelerator tower and The Canadian Institute for Energies and Applied Research. There are innumerable research scholarships and bursaries and a myriad of endowment grants funding various aspects of basic and applied research. Together, Weizmann Science Canada, and other Committees throughout the world, and the Weizmann Institute in Israel, comprise a flourishing humanitarian enterprise dedicated to improving the quality of life for all humankind through scientific research.
